Student Give 2008

The Heart Behind it All
We have a God-sized goal on campus to reach every student at UWEC with the gospel, to build into every student a deep spiritual foundation, and to send forth each one of us into a life-time of laboring for Christ.  Not only does this vision require sacrifice of time and energy, but it also requires a sacrifice of finances. This summer we have a unique opportunity to partner with many of our peers in seeing the finances raised up to continue reaching this vision God has given us.

Money, Money, Money
Imagine our personal growth and impact if we were able to line up our financial convictions with God’s heart for the world now as college students.  God has given us great financial resources, even as college students, and His word gives us incredible insight into the wise use of those resources.

Show Me the Money
This year God has blessed our ministry with great growth, but along with that comes great financial expense.  Here are some figures just to wet your appetite.  It cost us $800 to pass out 800 cups to incoming freshmen last fall.  For each student to attend Fall Retreat the cost was $70 making the total cost over $6000.  Add to all that our Burly weekend, development for your leaders and staff, office space, evangelistic booklets, PR posters, Foundations Studies, and endless other possibilities for the future and you find a significant need.

Students and Money do Mix
So, why are we asking the poorest people we know to partner in giving to our campus?  Many of us work jobs during the summer presenting us the ability to give toward what God is doing on campus.  Each of us labor throughout the school year to advance our campus vision and this is a unique opportunity to labor together over the summer.  We care about this ministry more than anyone else in the world.  SI has impacted our lives and the lives of our friends.  In light of this we want to provide you a place to give of the resources God blesses you with this summer. God's word tells us in Luke 16 that if we are faithful with a little we will be faithful with a lot.  It's never too little to start giving toward the passions of our Savior.  Experience the joy and encouragement of giving what you are able.  Not everyone will be able to partner in this way, but for many of us this is a great step of faith and service.

Ask Me Already!
Would you be willing to partner with us for 14 weeks this summer from May 20th – August 26th at $30 ($420 total), $20 ($280 total), $15 ($210 total) or some other amount per week?  We will provide you with envelopes that can be returned every two weeks with your check made out to Campus Crusade for Christ and together we’ll watch our goal add up on the SI web site.  Just imagine, if we had 10 students give $30 a week, 20 students give $20 a week, and 10 students give $15 a week we’d have over $10,000 toward our ministry next year.   The money you give will go into our campus account and will be used by the staff, student leaders, and teams for the ministry needs that we have next year.
