Financial Aid Information for Fall 2007

Financial Aid
Financial Aid

Financial Aid Night Planned
UW-Eau Claire will host a free informational event for students and parents regardless of the school you plan to attend. Find out the types of financial aid available, how to apply for it and how financial aid eligibility is determined. The event will take place Thursday, Jan. 11 from 7- 8:30 p.m. in Schofield Auditorium, Schofield Hall. Free parking is available in the Hibbard parking lot (corner of State Street and Garfield Avenue) or the Fine Arts parking lot on Water Street. The event is hosted by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the UW-Eau Claire financial aid staff. For more information call (715) 836-3171 or (715) 836-3373.

FAFSA Completion Information
Students must apply for financial aid each year to determine eligibility for need based financial aid and some non-need based financial aid. Aid is awarded when a student’s application is complete and is based on the funds available at that time. UW -Eau Claire has a priority date of April 15th. To apply for financial aid, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This form collects the information needed to determine financial aid eligibility. Students may sign the on-line FAFSA electronically if they have a federal PIN number. If your student does not already have a U.S. Department of Education Personal Identification Number (PIN), one may be applied for at http://www.pin.ed.gov. With your PINs, you and your student can electronically sign the FAFSA on the web. The PIN simplifies the application process and allows you to get your results faster. UW-Eau Claire’s Federal School Code is 003917. Completing the FAFSA by the priority date allows students the opportunity to receive consideration for all financial aid.

Additionally, about 30 percent of our applicants are required to submit signed copies of income tax forms (both parent and student). Your student does not need to submit tax forms unless requested to do so by the UW-Eau Claire Financial Aid Office.

Free Help in Completing the FAFSA
College Goal Sunday is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 11 in locations across the state and will offer students and parents free advice from financial aid professionals in completing the FAFSA.  The following link will allow you to find the location closest to you: http://www.wicollegegoalsunday.org/

Cabaret 2007

Cabaret XXIX

Cabaret Productions was founded in 1978 to provide experience for UW-Eau Claire Music and Theatre Arts students in arranging and staging a variety show. Cabaret provides for our students a valuable practicum during their course of study at the university. Many of the students performing in this show are music majors who will need to produce musicals and variety shows during their professional career. Annually, there are ten student directors working with a cast of 130 students.

Today, Cabaret involves a 10 month production schedule where students arrange, choreograph, rehearse and stage the annual production with orchestra. Each year student Cabaret directors enroll in a course addressing arranging, choreography and other areas involved in the production of a musical variety show. Cabaret Productions has raised over $225,000 in support of on-going scholarships for dedicated music students in the Voice/Choral Area and Jazz Area at UW-Eau Claire.

Cabaret performances are scheduled for:

January 18-20, 2007, 7:30 p.m.
January 25-27, 2007, 7:30 p.m.
January 20 & 27, 2007, 2:00 p.m.

Tickets are available at the Service Center. This is an exciting UW-Eau Claire tradition - encourage your Blugold to attend! Go to top of page
