---POSITION DESCRIPTION---
MUST BE IN BAP TO RUN FOR THIS POSITION
BAP- As the Vice President your main officer duty is guiding new BAP candidates through the process of becoming a BAP member. The first task that must be completed each semester is generating a list of people who are eligible to be BAP candidates. Once this list is generated invitations must be sent out to those individuals informing them about when the BAP informational meeting will be. At the informational meeting the Vice President describes what BAP is and informs all the candidates about the requirements that must be met in order to become a BAP member. After this meeting the candidates need to complete their service hours so the responsibility falls on them to complete these tasks. The Vice President will need to be available for any questions the candidates have and will also be responsible for tracking all of the candidate's service hours and make sure those hours are correct and that the candidates are actually performing their hours. The Vice President is also responsible for updating the UW-Eau Claire Chapter's BAP profile on the national BAP website. This means entering the new candidate's information and submitting their data for initiation. The Vice President will also be responsible for tracking all of the chapter's activity during the year and entering the information into the BAP website. The final task each semester is the BAP initiation ceremony for all of the candidates. At the initiation ceremony the Vice President and other BAP officers will conduct the ceremony and pass out certificates to all of the new BAP members.
Other Tasks- The Vice President's main responsibility is the BAP activities, but there are other responsibilities outside of BAP that must be performed. The Vice President needs to assist in the planning of any SAS activity where there assistance is needed. For example in the Spring semester 2012, the Vice President was responsible for planning the annual SAS golf outing. This involved organizing times with the golf course, contacting alumni to attend the outing, and signing up active SAS members who were interesting in attending the golf outing. This is just an example of an activity the Vice President could do outside of the BAP responsibilities and there will be other tasks that the Vice President will need to perform for SAS during the year. It is very important that the Vice President is able to support the other SAS officers in organizing club activities when their assistance is needed.
