The map in Figure 1 (above) shows a general view of the area, while Figure 2 (below) shows a more detailed map of the Hubbard Study Site. The elevation scale in Figure 1 applies to the map in Figure 2. The digital elevation models (DEM) in Figures 1 and 2 display the topography of the Hubbard Site in three dimensions. The model was created in ArcMap and a Triangulated Irregular Network (TIN) was made in ArcScene; then the map layout was created in Adobe Illustrator. Elevation points in this DEM were collected by the U.S. Geological Survey. The elevation file was obtained through Sean Hartnett, a University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire Geography professor. This DEM clearly shows the Hubbard Study Site on the Chippewa River terrace near Durand in Pepin County, Wisconsin.
