UWEC Rod and Gun- About Us

The campus at UW-Eau Claire is surrounded by some of the best outdoor recreation opportunities in the Midwest. This is why students created the Rod and Gun organization in 1996. Through the organization members discuss current environmental issues as well as share their adventures in the great outdoors. Members are active with many projects most of which help restore and maintain Wisconsin’s great outdoor recreation heritage. Members can benefit by creating friendships that go further than four years, while also being able to enjoy something that is usually left at home while going to college… the outdoors. If you have ever enjoyed the outdoors in the past or have always wanted to give some new activities a try, become a member of the UWEC Rod and Gun.

The Rod and Gun Organization General Meetings are held monthly downstairs in the Environmental Adventure Center area of Hilltop Center. You can reach the Environmental Adventure Center (EAC) by either going into hilltop and walking towards the entrance to the Bowling and Billiards Center and entering the door labeled "EAC" with a large arrow down the stairs...or...you can also reach the main entrance to the EAC on the way up or down the hill. Just look for the canoe racks and window.
