Search Collections
There are several ways to search for holdings in Special Collections & Archives:
- McIntyre Library Catalog provides access to all materials in the University of Wisconsin--Eau Claire Special Collections & Archives except unprocessed university records, unprocessed manuscripts, and maps. Be sure to limit your search to Special Collections.
- ArCat provides information about public records and manuscript collections in the Wisconsin Historical Society Archives, and all of the Wisconsin Area Research Centers, including the Eau Claire ARC at the UW-Eau Claire Special Collections & Archives. Most collections in ArCat may be temporarily transferred to the Eau Claire ARC though the ARC Network
To search for archival and manuscript collections outside of McIntyre Library's Special Collections & Archives and the Wisconsin Historical Society, consult the following resources:
- Repositories of Primary Sources is not a catalog, but rather a listing of archives and libraries by location. Follow the hyperlinks to repositories' Web sites to learn more about their holdings.
- NUCMC stands for National Union Catalog of Manuscript Collections. Maintained by the Library of Congress, this resource provides catalog information about manuscript collections around the country.
- Special Collections & Archives Staff can help you track down elusive archival and manuscript collections. Send us an email, and we'll see what we can find for you.
