Cataloging Staff
The Cataloging Department creates and maintains online catalog records for all materials in McIntyre Library with the exception of materials located in the Government Publications Department.
Circulation Staff
The Circulation Department is located on the first floor of the McIntyre Library. The Circulation Desk is staffed all open hours of the library and is responsible for checking out all books, CDs, videos, IMC material, Government Documents and Course Reserves.
Collection Development Staff
The Collection Development staff coordinates the selection and acquisition of the library's collections, including books, serials, audiovisual materials, and electronic products.
Distance Education Staff
For students, faculty and staff participating in online and off-campus courses or programs.
Government Publications Staff
McIntyre Library is a selective federal depository receiving 56% of the publications available through the U.S. Depository Library Program. We are also is a regional depository for State of Wisconsin publications.
IMC Staff
Located in the lower level, the IMC houses the library's collections of K-12 textbooks, teacher professional books, contemporary and historical children's books, some education journals and periodicals, multimedia, and videos.
Information Literacy Staff
Information Literacy provides scheduling for class use of the library and meeting with library staff, as well as additional instructor resources.
Interlibrary Loan Staff
Use this service to request articles, books not available through Universal Borrowing, and more from other libraries.
Library Systems Staff
The Library Systems Unit is responsible for the administration, networking and operation of the library computer system. This system integrates an online public access catalog, circulation control, catalog data entry and reserve circulation functions.
Periodicals - Acquisitions Staff
Located on the 3rd floor, Periodicals -Technical Services manages the acquisition, receipt, and de-acquisition of the periodicals collection's approximately 1700 current subscriptions.
Periodicals - Public Service Staff
Located on the 2nd floor, the periodicals collection consists of journals, magazines, and newspapers, comprising approximately 1700 current subscriptions.
Records Management Staff
The Records Center provides storage for official UW-Eau Claire records with established retention periods.
Reference Staff
The reference collection is located on the 1st floor and contains more than 20,000 volumes, covering all subject areas supporting UW-Eau Claire's programs.
Reserve Staff
In support of various UW-Eau Claire coursework, materials are available electronically via our web site and print and media items may be borrowed at the circulation desk on the first floor.
Special Collections Staff
Includes the University Archives; the Area Research Center of the Wisconsin Historical Society; Rare Books; and Local History books, photographs, and maps.
