Community Action and Lifelong Learning (CALL) is a University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire program that was established in 1974 upon the principles of service and learning through community involvement and volunteerism. CALL currently is designed to provide information and matching services for people (UW-Eau Claire students, faculty/staff, local volunteer groups both corporate and non-profit, middle and high school students) seeking service opportunities in the greater Eau Claire area.
The Community Action and Lifelong Learning Program was created as a way to connect UWEC students with volunteer service opportunities in the surrounding community. The mission of the program is twofold: intentional development of the intellectual and ethical dimensions of the individual through community service activity, and provision of access for community organizations and agencies to a large pool of talented, educated potential volunteers.
