EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education and Advisors on Gerontological Education will present "Aging Summit V — Boomers and Beyond: Living Healthy, Aging Well" in Eau Claire on May 6.
The summit, designed for health care and aging services professionals, providers of senior and long term care services, community leaders, policy makers, and others interested in and concerned with the impact of aging, will be held at the Best Western Trail Lodge (formerly Park Inn & Suites) from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Keynote speaker Daniel McLaughlin will present "The Future of the American Health Care Delivery and Financing System." McLaughlin is the associate director of the Center for Health and Medical Affairs and was executive director of the National Institute of Health Policy at the University of St. Thomas 2000-03. He served on President Clinton's Task Force on Health Care Reform in 1993.
The workshop fee is $35 and includes lunch and refreshments, .4 CEUs, and program materials.
