Prior Approval of Transfer Credits
Frequently, changes and updates are made to the transfer
equivalency files. To ensure that the course will transfer to
UW-Eau Claire as you intend it to, you
should print out and retain the currect equivalency information.
To avoid printing all of the pages
of the equivalency list, please follow these simple instructions:
-
Go to File / Print Preview and find
the page number of the page that shows your equivalency.
-
Close Print Preview and return to
Normal View.
-
Go to File / Print, select Pages: in
the Page Range section, and type in the page number(s) that you want
to print.
Sign and date the print-out, write your student ID or SSN on it, and
retain it so that if the equivalency changes, you have proof of the
information upon which you based your plans.
Don’t
forget to have a transcript sent to the Registrar’s office from the
school where you take the course.
Alternatively, you may complete a Prior Approval form and bring
or send it to the Registrar's office at
Schofield 128 for processing. Once the equivalency is
approved by the Registrar's office, you should retain the original
for your records.

Disclaimer
You may print these reports to keep
as a record of how your courses will transfer. The transfer
course equivalencies listed are guaranteed for courses you take
this or next semester and, when you choose to transfer, will
“count” as indicated. The equivalencies listed are accurate, but
may satisfy different degree requirements depending upon your
specific major or program. In addition, course revisions or
changes in requirements may cause equivalencies to change.
Therefore, it is your responsibility to (1) discuss specific
circumstances with an advisor, and (2) retain printed copies of
these dated reports.
