What We Do
Welcome to the Environmental Adventure Center at UW-Eau Claire. We sincerely hope that the following information serves as a guide for planning your outdoor schedule. We welcome the opportunity to introduce students and faculty/staff to the outdoors by providing a variety of activities designed to fit your needs. We truly hope that all of you find something fun, new, and exciting in our programs, and that sometime during the course of the year we have the opportunity to meet you. Rental Center
The EAC Rental Program at UWEC maintains the largest inventory of outdoor equipment in the Eau Claire area. Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis to University Id holders. All equipment rental and reservations must be made in person and paid in full. If you are heading into the outdoors for a weekend of fun, make us your first stop for all your equipment needs. Adventure Trips
The purpose of the Adventure Trips Program is to provide quality trips at a low cost. Trip participants are charged a fee to cover the cost of transportation, equipment, campground fee, and some meals. Since the costs are shared by each participant, the trip fees are in most cases lower than the cost an individual would pay to take the same trip alone. Trip participation is usually limited to eight to eleven persons to ensure a personalized experience and close ratio of trip leaders to participants. Most trips require a mandatory pre-trip meeting, where participants begin to know each other and prepare for the outings that provide life-long learning experiences.
Extended Trips Payment Plan: A down payment of $100.00 is due at sign up. The remaining balance is due by March 2, 2009. Cancellation prior to February 15, 2009 results in a refund of $100.00. Cancellation after February 15, 2009 results in a $100.00 forfeiture. Cancellation after March 2, 2009 results in full payment forfeiture.
