Service

Phi Sigma Phi places a heavy emphasis on participation in service activities to aid both the community and the country. In past years we have participated in Light the Night, Bowl for Kids, Blanket the Valley (see below), and assisted the local ΑΞΔ (Alpha Xi Delta) sorority in the Lighted Schoolhouse, which provides a structured after school program for elementary school children.

ΦΣΦ Cannon

The school spirit at Blugold football games is at an all-time high. UWEC students cheer for our team on the field over the thunderous booms provided by our chapter’s very own civil-war replica cannon. The firing of the cannon has been a long-standing and proud tradition of Eau Claire football courtesy of the Phi Beta chapter.

Homecoming

Homecoming has always been one of the biggest weeks for everyone here at UW-Eau Claire, jam-packed with various activities, games, and functions. As a member of Phi Sigma Phi, the homecoming experience is unique and guaranteed to be one of the best weeks of your school year. We take part in the annual parade by pairing up with a sorority to build a float we ride through the streets of Eau Claire.

Blanket the Valley

Our very own tremendously successful Blanket the Valley is just one of our philanthropy events spread throughout the year. On this weekend, we camp out in a big tent on the campus mall and collect blankets and non-perishable food which is donated to the Salvation Army to help the local community.

Fall Formal

Occurring in early December, fall formal is an opportunity for PhiSigs along with their dates to get away for a weekend of relaxation and brotherhood. Recent destinations have included Iron Mountain, Michigan; Thunder Bay, Ontario; and Hayward, Wisconsin.

Shaft

Early in the spring semester we have a tradition of holding a theme costume party for our campus' Greek community, all PhiSigs and our invited guests. This 70s-themed party is always a huge hit and its the one event you can only hope to get an invitation to. Needless to say, good times ensue.

Hell's Angels Campout

Near the end of the spring semester, our members pack for a weekend campout full of brotherhood, nature and the slightest hint of revelry topped off with all the comforts of a remote campground.

Summer Golf Outing

Each summer, members of the Phi Beta chapter take a weekend off of their summer jobs and converge upon some poor unsuspecting town. We use this weekend to catch up with members who are otherwise scattered around the area and difficult to track down. Typical activities include swimming, golf, cookouts, a nice dinner, then going out on the town.

Conclave

Conclave is the Supreme Legislation Authority of Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity, Inc. Occurring biennially, delegates from all chapters, colonies, and their alumni gather to shape the future of the fraternity.
