Responsibilities at UW-Eau Claire
Marty Wood was appointed Interim Provost and Vice Chancellor at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in September 2008. He previously served as University Senate Chair and professor of English. He reports directly to Chancellor Brian Levin-Stankevich, serves as a member of the Chancellor's executive staff, and as Provost, acts in place of the Chancellor in his absence. As the leader and administrator of the university's undergraduate and graduate academic programs, his duties as Provost and Vice Chancellor include oversight of a budget of more than $50 million and leadership of the Colleges, which are comprised of 31 academic departments and numerous centers. He handles all personnel actions pertaining to faculty and academic staff, and he supervises such academic support units as International Education, Records and Registration, Admissions, Academic and Career Services, the Dean of Students Office, and Advising.
