"The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH) is offering a paid 10-week summer internship program for Environmental Health majors in EHAC accredited programs.
Selected interns will participate in activities with the NCEH’s Environmental Health Services Branch from June 12-August 16, 2013. During the course of the internship, students are introduced to environmental health activities at the federal, state, and local levels through shadowing experiences, project collaboration, temporary field assignments, and CDC mentoring relationships.
Interns will be based at CDC’s Chamblee Campus where NCEH is housed. Interns receive a weekly stipend of approximately $600 to cover living expenses during the course of the program. Please go to our web site for more information and application instructions.

SUPEH applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
• Environmental health major in a program accredited by the National Environmental Health Science and Protection Accreditation Council (EHAC).
• U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident with green card.
• Full-time enrollment at a college or university as a rising junior, senior, or graduate student. Students must be returning to school to complete degree requirements at the end of their internship OR the internship must serve as needed academic credit to complete degree requirements.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
