Hennepin County Human Services & Public Health Department Epidemiology and Environmental Health
Commitment: Intermittent, Full-time, Summer 2012 (non-permanent). May or June through September Three positions available. Wage: $12.94 per hour (40 hours per week). Job Location: Hopkins, MN and within Hennepin County, MN School Majors: Current college major of (or have obtained a degree in) Environmental Health, Public Health or related field. Deadline: March 16, 2012. Requirements: Individuals that have a BA/BS degree or are earning a four-year degree in Environmental Health, Public Health or related field.
Duties: Under the direction of a Registered Sanitarian (R.S.), interns will inspect public swimming pools; collect water samples from wells and public beaches; inspect vending machines; become knowledgeable in other environmental health programs to assist with educational outreach and other duties as directed. Opportunities may be available to do directed projects if they fall within the scope of our program.
