"This e-mail is to inform you that the NNEMS Web site (www.epa.gov/education/students.html) has been updated with the fiscal year (FY) 2010 program information and materials. The deadline for submitting applications for the FY 2010 program is Friday, February 5, 2010 (i.e., application materials must be postmarked by that date to be eligible for consideration).
Projects for the FY 2010 program are being offered in the categories of: (1) Environmental Policy, Regulation, and Law; (2) Environmental Management and Administration; (3) Environmental Science; and (4) Public Relations and Communications. EPA has awarded more than 1,400 fellowships under the NNEMS program since its inception in 1986, and expects to award approximately 30 to 40 fellowships in 2010 for an estimated total of $400,000.
On the NNEMS Program Materials Web page (http://www.epa.gov/enviroed/NNEMS/2010pm.html) you will find PDFs of the 2-page NNEMS brochure and the NNEMS Catalog for 2010, which provide details about the program and the projects being offered in FY 2010. Your efforts to promote this program and assist students in the preparation of their applications are invaluable.
