"Things are going well for me back in Minnesota, I started with St. Paul - Ramsey County Environmental Health as an Environmental Health Specialist in February, and have just started getting my feet wet as far as food inspections on my own go. My experience has been really good so far, and I have definitely applied much of what I learned from the ENPH program in my work. Along with my job, I am also going to the U of MN for my MPH. I was originally Environmental Health with an interdisciplinary study in Global Health, but have switched to Public Health Administration and Policy with an international focus. I decided to switch because I realized that I already have a very extensive background in EH, and wanted to gain more experience in public health policy. So, that is what I am up to."
"I just wanted to write a quick note to catch up and see how things are going! I've been studying for the RS exam, and it has made me think of you two and how thankful I am to have had education in the areas covered on the exam, as it is apparently long and quite demanding... so thank you both very much! Other than the RS, things are great at Ramsey County. I have been working here for 8 months now, and have really learned a lot in that time. I was just over at Bloomington yesterday afternoon to see grab some materials for the exam from Jess Berti, and saw Dave Boberg and Emily Viau while I was there. Dave recently got engaged! Pretty exciting. I'm still in school at the U, and am hoping to graduate in December of '09. My master's project is due in May, and I have decided to write it on the polio eradication challenged in India, as my degree with have an international focus." |
