It was great to see the large turnout at the alumni gathering last week. UW-Eau Claire ENPH grads are a driving force in Environmental Health in Wisconsin as evidenced by how many of us attended the WEHA/NEHA conference.
It should be noted that the luncheon keynote speaker addressed the problem of attracting quality people to the profession and keeping them. As alumni, and in many cases sanitarians we need to partner with UWEC and promote the Environmental Health professions and the opportunities that exist. At this point we are finding a lack of qualified applicants for County Env. Health positions, and in some cases no applicants with a Registered Sanitarian credential.
