My current research interests include a wide range of projects in political science. I was trained as an election and political behavior specialist at the University of Iowa. I find most of my research ideas come from the intersection of political science and psychology, my two undergraduate majors. One of my three fields in graduate school was statistics and methodology, so I tend to focus on quantitative research using polls, election results, and experimental data.
My current projects include the causes of voter roll-off, American Indian voting, late-night talk show politics, the impact of televised debates, committees in the Senate, and cross-national incumbency rates. To access my current research projects and copies of recent publications, click HERE.
I am also a VERY strong supporter of student-faculty collaborative research at UW-Eau Claire. I have participated in over a dozen collaborative projects with students and I am always looking for new ideas and collaborators! For more information on student collaborations and projects, click HERE.
