Preparing for Orientation

Courses Available for Freshmen

These course are available for fall of 2008.

NOTE: Not all courses will be open when you come to Orientation.

  • GE I A - Communications - Language Skills. Courses in Communication / Journalism, English, and Foreign Languages.
  • GE I B - Communications - Analytical Skills. Computer Science, Mathematics, and Logic (Philosophy).
  • GE II - Natural Sciences. Courses Biology, Chemistry, Geography (physical), Geology, and Physics.
  • GE III - Social Science. Courses in Amerian Indian Studies, Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Economics, Geography (cultural), Latin American Studies, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology.
  • GE IV - Humanities. Courses in American Indian Studies, Art, Art History, Dance, English literature, Foreign Language literature, History, Latin American Studies, Music, Music Therapy, Philosophy, Relilgious Studies, Theater, and Women Studies.
  • GE V - University Wide. Courses offered by the Colleges of Business, Education and Human Sciences, and Nursing and Health Sciences as well as courses from all Colleges that cross the other four areas.
  • Other - A variety of non General Education courses are available as Electives.
