Foundation Scholarships

Webb, Sally A. Study Abrd. for an Org. Comm. Stu.

For a continuing sophomore, junior or senior whose academic performance exemplifies excellence. Applicants must have a minimum resident and major GPA of 3.0. First preference will be given to students who are Organizational Communication majors. Second preference will be given to students who are pursuing any one of the department’s other majors (Public Communication, Broadcast Journalism, Print Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations). Applicants must have made a serious application to the UW-Eau Claire Study Abroad Program. Scholarship award is contingent upon acceptance to study abroad in 2005-06.

Application forms are available in the Department of Communication and Journalism office.

Early to mid April. A committee of the Department of Communication and Journalism faculty will select the recipient.

The recipient will be sent a notification letter from the Chair of the Department of Communication and Journalism. The Chair will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.

A letter of gratitude addressed to Dr. Sally Webb should be submitted directly to the Department of Communication and Journalism program assistant. It is expected that the recipient of this award will attend the Department of Communication and Journalism Student Excellence Recognition Reception held the last day of spring classes.
