Foundation Scholarships

Wagner, Berniece Nursing

ANNUALLY

The Berniece Wagner Nursing Scholarship is to be awarded annually to outstanding UW-Eau Claire nursing majors. The minimum award amount shall be $3,000. The recipient is to have been officially admitted to the nursing program, shown at least B+ academic competence in previous college course work, and demonstrated good motivation and commitment to the nursing profession. Students may apply for renewal of the scholarship on an annual basis, allowing for three years at the academic level plus one year of graduate study.

Application Forms: Students who are admitted to the nursing program at UW-Eau Claire will receive an email in late February/early March when the scholarship application is ready and available. The email will include the path to the online application forms. PART ONE is filled online and submitted electronically. PART TWO (the essay and activities form) is filled out online and printed off, signed and submitted to the Dean’s Assistant Office, Nursing 103, by the deadline. Only one essay can be submitted. The essay must address the eligibility criteria for each of the scholarships that they wish to apply for.

Selection will be based on the criteria above.

Prior to the Nursing scholarship dinner

The recipient of the scholarship will receive written notification from the Dean. The Dean will submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid office.

It is recommended that the scholarship recipient send a thank you note to Loyd Wagner (Berniece’s brother), in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office, S-214.
