Foundation Scholarships

Tri-County Medical Alliance

Two awards at $400.00 for Nursing; one award at $200.00 for Environmental and Public Health; and one award at $200 for Health Care Administration.

For students majoring in Nursing, Environmental and Public Health (NHS) and Health Care Administration (COB).

For ENPH: An email will be sent to all declared majors in February when the scholarship application form is ready and available. The email will include the path to the online application form. The from must be filled out and submitted online AND a hard copy must be printed off and submitted to the Dean’s Assistant office, Nursing 101 by March 3. Transcripts are required. For HCAD: applicants must provide an essay on the student’s reason for applying for the award, goals and special contributions that the student has made to Health Care Administration and activities in the major. For Nursing: Application Forms - Students who are admitted to the nursing program at UW-Eau Claire will receive an email in February when the scholarship application is ready and available. The email will include the path to the online application forms located on the Department of Nursing website – (http://www.uwec.edu/nurs/ on the bottom of the page under HOT LINKS). The forms are filled out and submitted online, AND a hard copy must be printed off and submitted along with a written essay to the Dean’s Assistant Office, Nursing 101, by the deadline. Written essay - each application must include one written essay in not more than 200-300 words. The essay must address the eligibility criteria for each of the scholarships that you are applying for. Financial Need – For scholarships that indicate “financial need required” a FAFSA Financial Aid form must be filled out and there must be some level of financial need. Contact the Financial Aids office for the form at 715-836-3373. Please apply for financial aid by March 1.

Nursing application and ENPH application date is March 3. Health Care Administration due in late March. Please check the Health Care Administration scholarship application.

For Nursing and ENPH, selection procedure is determined by College of Nursing and Health Sciences. For HCAD, a selection committee will review the applications and select the recipient.

For Nursing and ENPH, the Dean informs the recipients and completes and submits a “Scholarship Award Form” for each recipient. For HCAD, notification will be made by the selection committee by letter. The committee will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office. The recipient’s name will be posted on the departmental bulletin board and be included in the departmental newsletter.
