This scholarship is available to students who are enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and who meet the following criteria: must be registered for, enrolled in or have completed a course in taxation at UW-Eau Claire; have a cumulative grade point average earned at UW-Eau Claire of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale; need at least nine additional credits to complete the baccalaureate degree at UW-Eau Claire; must not be a habitual user, or must not have been a habitual user during the past 24 months, of tobacco in any form; must complete and submit an application setting forth the information needed to verify the applicant’s qualifications including a signed statement giving consent that the scholarship application data may be verified by those officially charged with the review of the application or recommendation concerning the scholarship. A “course in taxation” means any course that has a goal/objective of providing an understanding of Federal or state law pertaining to one or more of the following: income tax, sales tax, gift tax, estate tax, and inheritance tax. A “course in taxation” shall also include any course that has a goal/objective of providing an understanding of how to research Federal or state law pertaining to any of the aforementioned taxes.APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
