Foundation Scholarships

Students of junior status and planning to enter the education profession are eligible to apply. The recipient must also have a well-established scholastic record and a commitment to the field of education. The student(s) selected would receive the scholarship during his/her junior and senior years.

Qualifying students will receive an email in December with scholarship application information. Also, visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Complete the form and submit it to the Education Scholarship Committee. Ask two members of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction faculty, who are familiar with your achievements at the University, to submit letters of recommendation to the Scholarship Committee.

Mid-February. Visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Exact deadline will be in Scholarship Applications Directions.

Basing its decision upon the eligibility criteria above, the Scholarship Committee will select one nominee and two alternate for the award.

The Dean of the College of Education and Human Sciences will notify the winner by letter. The Dean will also complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.
