Foundation Scholarships

Thorson, Arthur Memorial

Worthy students with financial need established by the Financial Aid Office. These students should preferably be graduates of the 9th Ward Grade School in Eau Claire who attend the UW-Eau Claire.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

There is no formal application procedure. Every entering freshman student who has graduated from an Eau Claire high school will automatically be considered for this award.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: N/A

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

A UW-EC Financial Aid counselor will equate "financial need" with each of the candidates. The award will go to the candidate possessing the highest need combined with academic achievement.

SELECTION DEADLINE: June 1 prior to academic year

NOTIFICATION:

The Financial Aid Office will send a notification letter to the student.

SPECIAL NOTES:

A thank you note to Susan Tietz and/or Barbara Wathke, nieces of Arthur Thorson, should be sent in care of the UW-EC Foundation Office, UW-Eau Claire.
