Open to a worthy Education and Human Sciences senior who is a Wisconsin resident and attending the UW-Eau Claire. Student must demonstrate general excellence and participate in community, university, or school service activities. Financial need is not to be considered as a factor.

Qualifying students will receive an email in December with scholarship application information. Also, visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Complete the form and submit it to the Education Scholarship Committee. Ask two people who are familiar with your achievements to submit letters of recommendation to the Scholarship Committee.

Mid-February. Visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Exact deadline will be in Scholarship Applications Directions.

Selection is based upon the criteria above, the Scholarship Committee will recommend one nominee to the chancellor, the Associate Dean of the College of Education and Human Sciences and a representative of the Eau Claire Business and Professional Women's Club. Their individual confirmation of the nomination must be transmitted to the Scholarship Committee prior to announcing the recipients' name(s).

Education and Human Sciences will notify the winner by letter. The Dean will also complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office. Also, the School will post the name of the winner on the departmental bulletin boards.
