Foundation Scholarships

Slock, Cora & Louis Memorial Education

Candidates for this scholarship must have been accepted into the College of Education and Human Sciences and possess outstanding academic credentials. Financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid Office, may be considered but is not a requirement.

Qualifying students will receive an email in December with scholarship application information. Also, visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Complete the form and submit it to the Education Scholarship Committee. Ask two members of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction faculty, who are familiar with your achievements at the University, to submit letters of recommendation to the Scholarship Committee.

Mid-February. Visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Exact deadline will be in Scholarship Applications Directions.

Selection will be determined by the Education Scholarship Committee.

Official notification will be sent to all recipients by the Education Scholarship Committee. The Dean will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.

The recipient should send a thank you note to Rachel Anderson (Cora and Louis Slock's daughter) in care of the Foundation Office.
