Foundation Scholarships

Single Parent Scholarship

Applicants must be currently-enrolled UW-Eau Claire students, in good academic standing with the potential for academic and career success, a single custodial parent with dependent children, and demonstrate financial need not met by traditional forms of financial assistance. Preference is given to female returning students. All scholarship applicants must have a FAFSA on file in the Financial Aid Office. The number of Single Parent Scholarships varies from year to year, depending on available funds.

Application forms are available on line at www.uwec.edu/advising/nss/scholar.htm or in the Nontraditional Student Services Office (NSS).

The fall deadline is December 1 and the spring deadline is April 1.

The NSS adviser in consultation with the Financial Aid Office will select recipients.

The recipients will receive written notification from the Nontraditional Student Services Office. NSS will also submit a completed “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.

A thank-you note should be sent to the Women for Philanthropy Group, in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation.
