Foundation Scholarships

Students attending Lakeland High School, with a preference for students from Lake Tomahawk, who plan to attend the UW- Eau Claire, are eligible to receive this scholarship. The student must plan to study in one of the fields of Physical Sciences and selection will be based on the student’s scholarship

A Faculty Scholarship Committee at Lakeland High School will select the recipient with collaboration with the UW-EC Development Office for a few years. Application forms are available at Lakeland High School and completed forms should be sent to the Scholarship Chairperson, Lakeland High School, 8669 Old Highway 70 West, Minocqua, WI 54548. The Scholarship is renewable up to three times. In order for a recipient to be renewed, the student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The Faculty Scholarship Committee at Lakeland High School will receive applications from students who wish to be considered for renewal. The UW-EC Foundation will be notified if a scholarship has been renewed and the scholarship funds will be dispersed the following academic year, one-half at the beginning of the fall semester and one-half at the beginning of the spring semester. If it is renewed to the same recipient, there will not be a new scholarship started at Lakeland until new funds would be available.

The Faculty Scholarship Committee in collaboration with the UW-EC Development Office will select recipients for a few years. The recipient will be announced at the graduation exercise in May and a scholarship certificate will be awarded at that time. Scholarship funds will be dispersed following the standard procedure at UW-Eau Claire.

May 1. The UW-EC Foundation will need two weeks notification prior to the graduation exercises in order to prepare the certificate award and transmit it to Lakeland High School for presentation.
