Foundation Scholarships

To be eligible for the scholarship, the student must: be a senior student with an education major; have cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above; provide evidence of outstanding potential to work with children; have financial need or have a nontraditional background that may be considered.

Qualifying students will receive an email in December with scholarship application information. Also, visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Complete the form and submit it to the Education Scholarship Committee. Ask two members of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction faculty, who are familiar with your achievements at the University, to submit letters of recommendation to the Scholarship Committee.

Mid-February. Visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Exact deadline will be in Scholarship Applications Directions.

Selection will be based on the criteria above

The College of Education and Human Sciences will send a letter to the recipient. The College will also complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.
