Pickett, Nan Memorial


AMOUNT: One at $350
AVAILABLE: Annually
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Available to nontraditional students, age 25 or older, currently enrolled at UW-Eau Claire and in good academic standing. Applicants must have a major (or minor) in one of the following areas: Biology, Biochemistry/Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Chemistry/Business Emphasis, Geography, Geology, Physics, Astronomy, Environmental Science, Marine Science, Computational Science, Computer Science, Environmental and Public Health or Nursing.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:
Third Monday in April
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
As determined by the NSS adviser

NOTIFICATION:
The recipient will receive written notification from the NSS adviser. The adviser will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.
SPECIAL NOTES:
It is required that the recipient sends a letter of appreciation to the Pickett family in care of the UW-EC Foundation Office. This scholarship is in memory of Nan Pickett who received two degrees as a nontraditional student and was a faculty member at UW-Eau Claire beginning in 1969. Her death was untimely at the age of 52 and her family wishes to support those nontraditional students who persevere in pursuit of an education.
