ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
One award is available to a UW-Eau Claire student from an ethnically diverse background who has a demonstrated financial need. Preference shall be given to an ethnically diverse student who also has a disability.

Applicants should contact the Director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
APPLICATION DATE:
September 1
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The Director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs will select the award recipient.
SELECTION DEADLINE:
September 8
NOTIFICATION:
A letter will be sent to the recipient by the Director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs who will also complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.
SPECIAL NOTES:
This scholarship fund was established in 2011 with an estate gift from Clarice Chase Dunn, a 1937 UW-Eau Claire graduate originally from Madison. Claire taught in many locations, including a Japanese relocation camp during World War II. An accomplished writer, she had articles and short stories published in local papers and national magazines. In Madison, she developed classes for intellectually challenged adults and initiated a program to encourage senior citizens to write their reminiscences.
