Foundation Scholarships

Peterson, Axel & Ellen Memorial Education

Senior in the College of Education and Human Sciences. Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. Participation in community, university, or school service.

Qualifying students will receive an email in December with scholarship application information. Also, visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Complete the form and submit it to the Education Scholarship Committee. Ask at least one member of the Teacher Education Program who is familiar with your achievements at the University to submit a letter of recommendation to the Scholarship Committee.

Mid-February. Visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Exact deadline will be in Scholarship Applications Directions.

Basing its decisions upon the eligibility criteria above, the Scholarship Committee will select one nominee and two alternates for the award and send a copy of the award letter to the Financial Aid and Foundation Offices.

The Dean will notify the winner by letter and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office. Also, the School will post the name of the winner on the departmental bulletin board.

A thank-you note should be sent to Eileen Emberson in care of the Foundation.
