Foundation Scholarships

The scholarship is intended to recognize those students who have been members of the UW-EC Men’s Basketball team for at least two seasons, have completed their eligibility, and are on track to graduate in their respective field of study with an exemplary grade point average. The scholarship recipient will be approved by the athletic director after reviewing recommendations by the Men’s Basketball coach and will be awarded at the annual Men’s Basketball Banquet or at a separate gathering at the conclusion of the basketball season but prior to the end of the spring semester. If the Head Coach deems no player(s) meet the qualifications at the end of a given season, the coach may defer any scholarship until a subsequent season is completed. The minimum qualifications are that a scholarship can only be awarded if a student has met the following requirements: 1) overall grade point average of 3.0 or better; 2) completed their basketball eligibility; 3) are on track to graduate in their major field of study; 4) are returning to UWEC during the following fall semester; and 5) if a student is a Geography major and satisfies the minimum qualifications in 1-4, that student should receive priority over those from other majors.

The Coach should complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.
