ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
The Patricia Ozzello Scholarship will be awarded during the spring semester to an accounting major who has completed accounting courses at UW-EC. The candidate must have completed between 30-60 credits by June of the academic year. In addition, the committee will consider the following in reviewing applicants for this award: Recipient must be a full-time student at UW-EC and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above and a GPA of 3.3 or higher in accounting courses. The student must have participated and demonstrated leadership in university, college, department and/or community organizations. The scholarship recipient must have the ability and desire to enter the accounting profession. Diversity students are encouraged to apply. Financial need is required. Recipients of higher scholarship awards are disqualified (i.e., AICPA, WAES, etc.) from receiving the Patricia E. Ozzello Scholarship. In the event of a tie, the award will be given to the student with the highest cumulative GPA. The award shall not be divided between two or more recipients.

SELECTION PROCEDURE: Prior to the end of Spring
Semester.
NOTIFICATION:
The recipient of the scholarship will be announced in conjunction prior to the University Honors Banquet. The Chair will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid office.
SPECIAL NOTES:
The recipient is encouraged to send a thank-you note to Dr. Larry Ozzello in care of the Department of Accounting and Finance. The Patricia E. Ozzello Scholarship was established by her friends and relatives as a manifestation of their esteem for the excellent job done by the University in preparation of accountants for the profession. The purpose of this award is to recognize Patricia Ozzello’s high regard for broad participation in academic and extracurricular activities and her desire to enhance educational opportunities for young people.
