AMOUNT: Two awards at $750 each, $1,500 total AVAILABLE: Annually ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Economics major or minor who has completed 9 credits of economics. Junior or senior status. Full-time student standing (12+ credits). Overall GPA of 3.0 and 3.0 GPA in economics classes. Demonstrated financial need.APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Applicants should pick up an application form in the Economics Department office. Return the completed application form, transcript and other information to the Economics Department office.APPLICATION DEADLINE: Last Monday in March. SELECTION PROCEDURE: The Department of Economics Scholarship Committee will select the award recipient.SELECTION DEADLINE: Two weeks after the application deadline.NOTIFICATION: A letter will be sent to the recipient from the Chair of the Scholarship Committee. The Chair will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid office.SPECIAL NOTES: This scholarship was created in 1998 by Duane Oyen in memory of his wife, Lynne Oyen. A letter of appreciation should be sent to Dr. Duane B. Oyen, Department of Economics, UW-Eau Claire. |
