Student must major in IS, Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or Computer Science. Have overcome past academic difficulties through extra effort and academic accomplishment. Need may be considered as a tiebreaker between equally qualified applicants. Must have earned 30 credits (sophomore standing or above).

Obtain an application from the COB Office. Then submit a biographical essay (1-3 typewritten pages) discussing past academic performance, work experience, extracurricular activities, and future plans. In addition, submit a letter of application and up-to-date transcript(s) of all undergraduate work. The application material should be submitted to the COB. Students also are required to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which will be used to determined financial need. (Go to https://fafsa.ed.gov/ for instructions on submitting the FAFSA.)

A three-member faculty committee, two from the College of Business and one from Computer Science, will screen and rank applicants. The Selection Committee will forward their recommendation for approval by the Dean of the College of Business.

The recipient will be notified by the Dean of the COB. The Financial Aid and Foundation Offices will be notified of the recipient selected.

A thank you letter to Hersch and Pat Olson in care of the UW-EC Foundation Office is required.
