Foundation Scholarships

O'Farrell, Jack & Margaret Jazz


AMOUNT:
Total of all awards $5,000--minimum of $500 and maximum of $2,000
AVAILABLE: Annually
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Open to music majors or minors carrying at least the normal 12-credit semester load and who maintain a 2.0 semester average in academic subjects and 2.50 in music subjects. Participate in a University large jazz ensemble. Study with the applied professor of your instrument. Participate in selected jazz activities as determined by the Jazz Studies Area.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
All eligible applicants will be considered.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Determined by the Department.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The Scholarship Committee forwards the recommendation to the Chairman of the Department of Music and Theatre Arts.
SELECTION DEADLINE: By the end of the Spring Semester.
NOTIFICATION:
The Department of Music and Theatre Arts will notify the recipient. The Chair will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid office.
SPECIAL NOTES:
The recipient should send a thank you note to Mr. and Mrs. Snoeyenbos in care of the UW-EC Foundation Office.
