AMOUNT: $500
AVAILABLE: Annually
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
The recipient must be a UW-Eau Claire student and have a minimum of 12 credits and be in good academic standing with a minimum of a 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to UW-Eau Claire American Indian students who have been involved in the Native American Indian Student Organization.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Application forms are available in the Office of Multicultural Affairs. Two letters of recommendation should be part of the application. Please have them sent directly to the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 1st
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The Director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the American Indian Student Services Coordinator will choose the recipient.
SELECTION DEADLINE: May 15th
NOTIFICATION:
The American Indian Student Services Coordinator of the Office of Multicultural Affairs will notify the recipient by email and complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid office. The award will be announced at the fall scholarship banquet.
SPECIAL NOTES:
American Indian alumni of UW-Eau Claire support this scholarship. It is their interest to collectively build the principal to create an endowed scholarship. The recipient should send a letter of appreciation addressed to the American Indian Student Services Coordinator in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office.
