Foundation Scholarships

Ochrymowycz, Leo & Bader, Alfred Chemistry

All applicants must meet the following criteria: junior standing in Chemistry Liberal Arts or Chemistry-ACS major with one year remaining at UWEC; academic potential; professional commitment; and career goals.

Students should submit applications to the Chemistry Department Awards Committee Chair; academic transcript; application letter describing student's career goals and past activities, service to the department and/or university; and two faculty references.

The Chemistry Department Awards Committee based upon the stated criteria will select the recipient.

The recipient will be announced at the May banquet of the Student Affiliate Chapter of the ACS. After the banquet, the Chemistry Department Awards Committee Chair will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.

The scholarship should not be split and will be used to defray tuition costs for the student's senior year. Each recipient should send a "thank you" letter to Dr. Alfred Bader with a copy to Dr. Leo Ochrymowycz in care of the UW-EC Foundation Office.
