After he retired, he started taking art classes at UW-Eau Claire. He then started working in the framing shop in the art department and made hundreds of frames for fellow students to display their art works, especially for their senior shows. He took great pleasure in using his talents to help the students. His family seeks to further that legacy through this scholarship. The Newton Family requests that they be notified of the annual Senior Art Show. This award is to assist senior art students with materials for exhibition of their work. A thank you should be sent to Mrs. Marvel Newton. |
