AMOUNT: 2 at 1,500; Total of $3,000.00 AVAILABLE: Annually ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: The recipient should be accepted into the College of Education and Human Sciences, have good potential for a career in education, and have financial need. The Scholarship Committee may use its judgment whether to offer one or multiple scholarships per year, as long as the total funds available per fiscal year are not exceeded. A scholarship recipient may re-apply in a subsequent year if he/she still meets the award criteria. One year’s award does not automatically qualify one for a subsequent award.APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Qualifying students will receive an email in December with scholarship application information. Also, visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Complete the form and submit it to the Education Scholarship Committee. Ask two members of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction faculty, who are familiar with your achievements at the University, to submit letters of recommendation to the Scholarship Committee.APPLICATION DEADLINE: Mid-February. Visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Exact deadline will be in Scholarship Applications Directions.SELECTION PROCEDURE: On or about April 1. NOTIFICATION: The Scholarship Committee will notify the recipient(s) by letter. The Dean will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid office.SPECIAL NOTES: The recipient(s) are strongly urged to send a thank-you letter to Mr. Arnold Lamberg, in care of the UW-EC Foundation, S-214. Arnold Lamberg, and his late wife, Eleanor, were both UW-EC alumni who spent their careers in service of public education, teaching and administration. The scholarship is funded on an annual basis by using the proceeds of the Unitrust established as a gift to the UW-EC Foundation for that purpose. |
