Foundation Scholarships

This scholarship is available to junior or senior Chemistry Majors showing academic achievement, with a preference for education majors planning to teach Chemistry in the public schools and who have demonstrated an ability to communicate with young people. Students should indicate career goals on the application for the scholarship. Students selected will also have demonstrated community service activity experience.

Application forms are available in the Department of Chemistry. Two letters of reference and an academic transcript should be submitted along with the completed application to the Chemistry Department Awards Committee Chair by April 1.

The Chemistry Department Awards Committee based upon the stated criteria above will choose the recipient.

The recipient will be announced at the May Banquet of the Student Affiliate Chapter of the ACS. The Chair of the Awards Committee will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.
