Foundation Scholarships

Larson, Milton & Lorraine

This scholarship will be awarded to a student who meets the following criteria: Majoring in Education. Holds a GPA of 3.0 Has financial need Preference will be given to an individual who has participated in athletics and who has completed their eligibility.

Qualifying students will receive an email in December with scholarship application information. Also, visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Complete the form and submit it to the Education Scholarship Committee. Ask two members of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction faculty, who are familiar with your achievements at the University, to submit letters of recommendation to the Scholarship Committee.

Mid-February. Visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Exact deadline will be in Scholarship Applications Directions.

Selection will be made by the College of Education and Human Sciences Scholarship Committee based on published criteria as well as the committee’s assessment of candidate’s evaluation of potential teaching effectiveness.

The Office of the Associate Dean will notify the recipient by letter. The Chair will also complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.

Recipients are strongly encouraged to send a note of thanks to the donor, Lorraine Larson Willson, in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation.
