Foundation Scholarships

Fields, James E. Journalism

For a continuing Mass Communication-Advertising, Journalism, Print Journalism, or Broadcast Journalism major. Applicant must have financial need. Criteria for this award include GPA, extracurricular activities, and future promise in the field of journalism or advertising. Preference will be given to a non-traditional student.

The Department of Communication and Journalism Scholarship Committee will select the recipient.

The Chair of the Department of Communication and Journalism will send notification to the recipient and complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.

A letter of gratitude addressed to the Dr. James Fields should be submitted directly to the Department of Communication and Journalism Department program assistant. The winner of this award is expected to attend the Department of Communication and Journalism Student Excellence Recognition Reception held the last day of spring classes.
