Jones, Jeffrey & Karen Pre-Dentistry

Applicants must be sophomores who are currently enrolled as pre-dentistry students. The student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and a 3.0 or better in their science and mathematics courses (including biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics). The recipient will be selected based on the following criteria: cumulative GPA and science/math GPA; the scholarly qualities that reflect the potential of acceptance into dental school, graduating and becoming a successful practitioner; and the character and integrity of the student. Financial need may be considered but will not be the overriding consideration. Preference will be given to students who have not previously been awarded the scholarship.

A Selection Committee composed of at least two pre- dentistry advisors, one from Biology and one from Chemistry, must be represented on the committee. The scholarship recipient will be selected on the criteria stated above.

By letter by the Chair of the Scholarship Committee. The Chair will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid office.

The scholarship recipient should send a thank-you letter to Dr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Jones, in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation, S-214.
