Foundation Scholarships

Recipient must be an English major who has completed freshmen English courses and will be a sophomore at the time the award is received. Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Obtain an application at the English Department Office

The English Department Scholarship Committee, including those teaching freshmen English courses, will screen applications. Their recommendation will be forwarded to the Department Chair for final action.

Notification to the recipient will be made by the Department of English Scholarship Committee. The recipient will be formally honored during the annual English Festival Awards Ceremony. The English Department should complete an submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.

Recipients are asked to send a thank you note to Dorothy Gilbertson, in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation S- 214.
