Foundation Scholarships

Gantner, Robert A. Music

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the following. The student must: Be music major with junior standing at the time the scholarship is received. Have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better during the first four semesters. Have a record of service to the Department of Music and Theatre Arts. Show potential for success as a teacher, performer, composer, and therapist. Financial need. Transfer students must have spent at least two semesters in residence at UW-Eau Claire prior to receiving the scholarship.

An application blank must be obtained from the Department of Music and Theatre Arts Office and completed in duplicate. A music faculty member who will agree to sponsor the applicant must be selected and must check and sign the scholarship application. The faculty member will retain the original application and present it to the scholarship committee for final consideration. The faculty sponsor will also sign the duplicate, after which the student is responsible for providing the Department of Music and Theatre Arts Office with a copy.

Spring, as determined by the Department of Music and Theatre Arts.

The Department of Music and Theatre Arts Scholarship Committee will choose the recipient.

The recipient will receive a letter of notification from the Department of Music and Theatre Arts. A copy of the letter should be sent to the Financial Aid and Foundation offices.
