Applicants must be of sophomore, junior, or senior standing and be enrolled in the Comprehensive BA/BS or BFA programs. The cumulative GPA must be 3.5 or higher within the Department of Art. The student must demonstrate by performance a serious interest in art: outstanding ability, discipline, and dedication.

The student must submit a completed application form, available in the Art Department Office. The student must write a brief statement of his or her philosophy of aesthetic goals and objectives (200-300 words).

In March. Deadline announced by the department in late February or early March.

The Department of Art and Design Scholarship Committee will review the applications and select the recipient(s).

The Scholarship Committee selects the recipient(s) sometime between the application deadline and the annual juried student art show.

The recipient(s) will be announced at the annual juried student art show in the Foster Gallery. A “Scholarship Award Form” will be forwarded to the Financial Aid office.

This scholarship should be handled by the same committee and in coordination with the Ed Fish Scholarship.
